​Thank you for supporting The NEHE Foundation Boots & Blue Jeans Ball given in collaboration with Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. Hyattsville/Landover Alumni Chapter.    We collected over 2 dozen pairs of jeans and have donated them to the Family Crisis Center facilitated by Ms. Keiyauna Stanley, Director of Resident Services.  Again, thank you for your continued support...Together we will "Turn Victims into Strong Survivors

The Nehe Foundation hosted a powerful fundraising gala featuring Ms. Mildred Muhammad, ex-wife of John Muhammad (the DC Sniper). Ms. Muhammad, a domestic violence survivor, shared with the audience the true story or her life with John Muhammad. Ms. Muhammad was candid about how difficult life was while in hiding from John, the kidnapping of their children – then six , eight, and 10, and how she and the kids went into survival mode to stay alive.

Ms. Muhammad also shared the following information:
  •  preparing to leave your abuser (exit strategy)
  •  what it takes to move forward with your life as a domestic violence survivor
  • where to go for help
